Welcome from the Pastor:

Welcome to The St. Luke MBC Spring Revival. I am elated that you have decided to share this time with us. I greet you in the name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and want you to make yourselves at home, do whatever the spirit leads you to do.

Our thought for our revival is “Focus On The Positive Things” Philippians 4: 8 We have been feeling a great change coming over our congregation in Spirit, Attitude, Praise, Worship and Giving. We want to hold on to this change and take it as far as the Lord wants us to go with it. “Where He Leads Us We Will Follow”. We want to be transformed, renewed, changed and improved. (“Lord Please Send Us a Revival”) To our visitors we want you to share also in this experience with us, so that you can go back to your churches with “New Attitudes”.

We are blessed by God to have three of the most sought after preachers and teachers in the city and nation in our midst this week as we revive our spirit with the Word of God and “Encourage Ourselves to Focus on The Positive Things”, and I would like to personally thank these great preachers of the Gospel for taking time out of their schedules to come out and share the Gospel with us.

I know we will all be blessed as God allows his spirit to fall fresh on us this week. So let’s come together on one accord and pray that this will be a week of that will be pleasing to God. Please except our humble welcome in His presence.

The Call & The Answer

Oh what a time we had on Sunday Morning at Christ Church for Our Community, celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Rev. Frank M. Smith Jr. We had a real nice crowd and it was nice to be able to preach in the area where you were born and raised. I started off kind of nervous, read the wrong scripture. Wanted to read Isaiah 6: 1-8 but read Isaiah 1, by the time I got to the 5th verse I realized that I was on the wrong page, BUT GOD made a way and we went on preach "The Call & The Answer" What is a Pastors Call?

• Pastor must know their calling - You must know what you are getting into.
• Pastors must approach their calling with a Godly Spirit - Forsaking all but the Kingdom
• Pastors must be willing to go anywhere - Where He leads you must follow
• You should Praise Pastors for their Christian walk - It encourages them to keep on keepin on.

We thank God for CCFOC and their spirit and can't wait til our revival starts so we can fellowship again.

Hello, I'm back again!

It really feels good to be in the land of the living this morning, I would like to say I have been busy, very busy and haven't had a chance to record in my blog.

First, The Lord was moving in St. Luke yesterday We had a wonderful time, He sent two new souls our way. We thank the Lord for Rev. & Mrs Virgil Durham, He just keeps on blessing us.

Our message morning was titled "Too Little Too Late" Exodus 3: 14a ; Revelation 1: 7-8, We were trying to let everybody know that we don't have a whole lot of time, we can't wait til' Jesus comes back to get it right, we have to at least try and "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; lean not to your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your path" Don't let it be too little too late.

In the evening we visited "Sweet Leaf Primitive Baptist Church" Where my good friend Elder Nate Anderson is the pastor. I found out something yesterday, Nate is not as old as I thought he was, I've always looked up to him because he was around my father, but I've come to find out that I am older than him. It was for their Choir anniversary.

I preached about "I just can't tell it all" John 21: 25, John was letting that the things he wrote were not all that Jesus had done while on this earth. If he had to write it all down it wouldn't be enough books to hold it. Sometime we try to explain something or tell a story and we mess it up trying to tell the whole story. When we attempt to tell the whole story, every little detail it gets boring, If a preacher preaches too long it gets boring, If a deacon prays too long it gets boring, If a movie is too long it gets boring, I think you get the picture, but when I think about the goodness of God I don't want to bore no one so I just tell them all the very important things, because " I just can't tell it all" We'll be there all night.

Looking forward to getting back into my blog. It helps me with my writing and typing skills. Thanks for reading it and if you see where I need improvement don't hesitate to let me know, I love constructive criticism.

I'm Back

Hello, I would like to apologize to those of you who were reading my blog, I have been so busy that I just forgot all about my blog, All I have to say is I'm Back.

On Sunday we had a spirit filled time in the Lord. I had been struggling with a few issues regarding the church and what direction we would be heading in regarding our space, building or moving, but GOD let me know to just sit still and he will show me the way.

I preached about Paul's Prayer in the book of Ephesians 3: 14 -21. Paul prayed for

• Supernatural Strength
• Divine Guidance
• Sincere Understanding

Everything that I was asking the Lord for was in the sermon I preached.

Letter from Pastor

Hello St. Luke,

I bring you Greetings in the Mighty Magnificient Name of the Lord.

We had a wonderful Resurrection Sunday the whole month was great. i would like to thank you for a few things you have done to make me proudly say that I am the Pastor of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church.

First, for the wonderful job you done on the 19th of April for our associate minister Rev. Earl W. Drake Jr. at his ordination. It was truly a great service and it wouldn't have been possible without you.
Second, for coming out to a 8:00 PM service like it was 4:00 PM. I love the way you are showing up for our evening programs, you are definetely keeping up your part of the deal.
Third, the surprise i got last Sunday Morning when I got to church. Words can't express the way I felt when the blindfold came off. I love the way you support your Pastor and associate ministers.
Fourth, Thanks for all your condolances during the passing of Sis. Shalonda Drake, I'm sure I speak for the Lovelace family also. Thanks for showing up, It means a lot just to see your faces.
Fifth, tithes and offerings are getting better, let's keep up the good work and step out on faith a little more so we can acheive our vision. Remember "Vision to Victory". (Proverbs 29:18) Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Keep up the good work St. Luke, Just keep the faith, And never cease to pray; just walk upright, Call Him noon, day, or night. He'll be there. There's no need to worry, For God never fails!
